I am running Vista Beta 2 in a dual boot with XP. Avoid it. Slow as cold molasses and the graphics are downright creepy. Having installed much more RAM and a new graphics card with 512 MB RAM, XP just flies and gives me all the fancy glass and aero effects I could want. And I don't much want them.

I think you mean Vista Boot Pro not Vista Pro Boot. I have been aware of it wsince the early days of the Vista Beta and recommended it more times than I can count when it's appropriate.
